Abstract

This Ministerial Decree establishes that state environmental monitoring shall be the system of regular observations of environmental pollution and processes having negative environmental impact and use of natural resources with a view of identification of environmental pollution level, assessment of the state thereof, forecasting and mitigation of the consequences of negative environmental impact. Objects of environmental monitoring shall be biotic and abiotic components of environment, and also technological and natural factors of negative environmental impact. State environmental monitoring shall be composed of: (a) monitoring of emissions; (b) monitoring of atmospheric pollution; (c) monitoring of water pollution – surface water and groundwater; (d) monitoring of hazardous natural and technological processes; (e) monitoring of soil pollution; and (f) noise pollution.
