Abstract

This Ministerial Decree establishes the modalities for licensing activities related to sources of ionizing radiation. The following activities related to sources of ionizing radiation shall be subject to compulsory licensing: (a) research and development; and (b) mining, extraction, processing, storage, transportation, recycling and disposal. Licensing terms and conditions include: (a) observance by the applicant of the legislation on radiation safety; (b) availability of equipped facilities; (c) availability of radiation safety services; and (d) means of ensuring radiation safety in case of nuclear disaster or accident. Applicants must submit the following documentation: (a) application; (b) notarized copy of the state registration certificate; (c) expert opinion of the state inspectorate on the applicant’s compliance with the licensing terms and conditions; and (d) copy of the receipt for payment of the licensing fee.
