Abstract

The present Regulation sets the requirements for the elaboration and validation of standards of potable water supply in case of normal functioning of potable water supply systems, in case of damage thereof and in case of technological accidents and natural disaster. Standard (norm) of potable water supply shall be considered the calculated amount of potable water that shall be necessary to ensure the quantity of potable water for physiological, sanitary and hygienic, and also everyday domestic needs for a single person. Standards of potable water supply shall be used for the calculation of the amount of potable water supply. In the process of the elaboration of potable water supply standards the following data shall be taken into consideration: 1) area and living conditions (availability of water supply and sewerage, impact of climatic and ecological conditions upon water uses of the population); 2) availability of potable water measurement devices; 3) availability of water supply equipment.
