Abstract Biological feasibility study shall be intended scientifically substantiated conclusion on wild fauna management (including fishery management), determination of the allowable removal of wild fauna species (including fishes and aquatic animals), as well as activities that may affect wild fauna and natural habitats thereof. The biological substantiation (biological feasibility study) shall be performed for the following purposes: (a) assignment of animal species to the categories and their transfer from one category of the animal world to another (classification of wild fauna species); (b) determination of the maximum allowable catch of fish and other wild fauna species; (c) regulation of the number of wild fauna species; (d) introduction, reintroduction and hybridization of wildlife; (e) introduction of restrictions and prohibitions on the use of wild fauna species, parts and derivatives thereof, the establishment of location and terms of wild fauna management; (f) determination of the impact of economic and other activities on animals and their natural habitats; (g) aquaculture or commercial aquaculture; (h) classifying fishery waterbodies and (or) sites as particularly valuable and (or) to establish their boundaries; (i) performance of reclamation of fishery waterbodies of parts thereof; (j) annual adjustments to fishery resources data and data related to other aquatic animals in fishery waterbodies and/or parts thereof; (k) acclimatization of fish resources and other aquatic animals; and (l) reproduction of animal species, except for fish resources and other aquatic animals. Maximum allowable catch of fish species shall be determined in accordance with the method of number accounting and calculation of the maximum allowable amount of catch in accordance with the Annex to this Ministerial Decree.
