The granting of the aid is subject to various controls concerning, inter alia, the minimum prices to be paid to the producers, the quantity and quality of raw materials, the stocks, etc. Said controls shall be carried out by the regions or delegated public bodies, the National Institute for Preserves, the farmers' associations legally established and recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the trade associations representing the processing industries and the associations for the protection, representation and assistance of the production cooperatives. The Decree states the requirements that the cooperatives for production and trade must satisfy in order to be officially recognized as "agricultural producer", so as to be eligible for the aid.
