For this purpose, the Decree provides for the establishment of the Committee for the Protection and Promotion of Italian Food Products. The Committee shall cooperate with the Regions and the Authonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano and promote the knowledge of typical Italian food. Sectorial Sub-committees may be created by Ministerial Decree to undertake particular initiatives on certain food categories and related issues (art. 6).
