Abstract

The wetland “Lago di San Giuliano” (whose boundaries are shown in the planimetry attached to the Decree) is hereby declared to be a wetland of international importance for the purposes of the Convention on Wetlands of International Importance especially as waterfowl habitat signed in 1971 and implemented by Italy by Presidential Decree No. 448 of 13 March 1976. The Ministry of the Environment, the Basilicata Region and the local entities referred to in article 2 shall ensure, according to their respective competences, the protection of the wetland as provided for in the Convention.
