Abstract This Regulation, consisting of 45 articles, aims at: organizing fish markets and related controls; regulating fish and fish products trading; providing fish and fish products in the markets; and encouraging the free competition in the fish trading avoiding the monopoly, in coordination with the competent authorities. It establishes that: the fish trading is allowed only in places established by the market management; farmed and imported fish and fish products can be traded after obtaining a permit and specifying some required information; trading in fish and fish product needs a medical certificate from the competent authority to ensure absence of infectious diseases.
