Abstract This Resolution amends the legal framework under which projects in aquaculture can be conducted. In particular: (i) adds a member within the Aquaculture Committee (the Director of Development Department) and among the tasks of the Committee adds the powers of approving plans and programs aiming at developing aquaculture and proposing legislation and regulation of aquaculture projects; (ii) the applications to establish both kinds of aquaculture projects shall be presented to a technical committee before being studied by the Aquaculture Committee. Article 22 bis establishes the Technical Committee and the following articles specify its competencies and responsibilities, mainly technical, while the programmatic ones remain to the Aquaculture Committee.
