Abstract This Regulation consisting of 27 articles divided in 15 Chapters aims at creating a detailed guide to animal welfare, including directives to owners of animals or caregivers regarding also food, transport and space. The Decree establishes also an Animal Welfare Unit, attached to the Animal Wealth Department, and determines its functions and responsibilities. Owners of animals shall take all necessary measures to ensure welfare of their animals, any abandonment or abuse shall be punishable by Law, including not provide proper care, let them suffering from pain, or not provide adequate veterinary care when needed.
