Abstract This Ministerial Decision approves the Regulation of the National Institute for Standardization and Quality-IP (INNOQ, IP). This Regulation, consisting of 83 articles divided into seven Chapters, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Institute. In particular the duties of INNOQ, IP are: a) Promotion of the development of a national quality system, in order to integrate all relevant components for improving the quality of products, processes and services; b) Planning needed actions to implement defined policies and propose legislative measures; e) Elaboration, homologation and disclosure of Mozambican standards (NM); d) Realization, maintenance and development of national measurement standards and their flexibility to the International System (SI) in the national territory; e) Promotion of administrative or legal actions; f) Promotion of the establishment of a national network of metrological laboratories at regional, national and international level; etc. Full text Portuguese Website www.legis-palop.org References - Legislation Implements Decree No. 81/2020 approving the Statute of the National Institute for Standardization and Quality (INNOQ, IP).
