In order to ensure the preservation of fish stocks, and in view of the need to establish, at the estuary of the Limpopo River a closed-season for shrimp fishing for the year 2016 under article 14 of Law No. 22/2013 and article 9 of Decree No. 43/2003, establishes the following: 1. a closed-season for artisanal trawl fishing to shore in the following areas: a) Moma Districts Nicoadala/Quelimane: from 1 January to 31 March 2016, included; b) District of Angoche and southern areas of Nicoadala/Quelimane: from 1 to 31 January 2016 included. 2. The fish product processing establishments handling and process are banned to purchase, transport, handle or process new lots of shrimps in the period 1 to 31 January 2016.
