Abstract

This Ministerial Decision, consisting of 5 articles, establishes a closed-season for shrimp fisheries between the parallels 16 South and 19.47 South from 25 October 2015 to 31 March 2016 and establishes that fishing product processing establishments handling and processing shrimp, throughout the national territory are prohibited to acquire, transport, handle or process new lot of shrimps originated from industrial and semi-industrial motor-trawl fishing in the period between 25 October 2015 and 31 March 2016, as well as originated from the semi-industrial production of the freezer-fishing vessels and artisanal motor-trawling fishing boats operating south to Beira in the period between the 1st of January 2016 and 31 March 2016, according to Law No. 22/2013 and Decree No. 43/2003.
