Serving as an assistant to the Supreme Compensation Committee, it is responsible for tasks such as studying technical reports, estimating initial environmental damage, presenting opinions to the Supreme Committee, notifying concerned parties, receiving and examining grievances, preparing for Supreme Committee meetings, documenting decisions, and coordinating with relevant authorities. The committee also prepares model letters and a grievance model for approval by the Supreme Compensation Committee. (iii) A specialized team, led by the head of the Technical Secretariat and Grievances Committee, is formed to assess environmental damage cases, particularly those from urgent situations and incidents of marine and river pollution involving petroleum oil, derivatives, and harmful substances.
