This Resolution enters into force the day after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

This Resolution consisting of 2 articles amends article 93 of the Law by adding some provisions, in particular (i) art.93 bis prohibits the establishment of stations for continuous monitoring of the water quality of the marine environment without the approval of the department concerned with environmental monitoring in the Ministry, as well as their stop or change location or technical specifications without obtaining the approval of the department; (ii) art.93 ter establishes that the owners of projects and establishments potentially pollutant or with a negative impact on the marine environment must establish stations for continuous, automatic and direct monitoring and measurement of the quality of the marine environment’s water and work on maintaining them periodically; (iii) art.93 quarter states that the owners of projects and establishments operating stations for continuous monitoring of the water quality of the marine environment must comply with the requirements for installation and maintenance, and take the necessary measures to connect these stations with the national network; (iv) art. 93 quinquies establishes that they have to submit periodic quarterly reports that include verified and audited data on the results of measurements recorded from these stations to the department concerned with environmental monitoring at the Ministry and these reports become final only after being approved by this department.
