Abstract

These Regulations, consisting of 114 sections divided into twelve Parts and completed by four Schedules, implement provisions of the Mining Act 1971. The Regulations provide specifications on prescribed costs for the transportation and shipping of minerals; mineral and access claims; mining leases and retention leases; exploration and other types of licences; entry on land; programs for environment protection and rehabilitation; registration of documents related to mining activities; use of the Extractive Areas Rehabilitation Fund; private mines; keeping of records; etc.
