Abstract

A Regulation to implement provisions of the Mining Act, 1992 in relation to tenements, i.e. exploration licence, special mining lease, a mining lease, an alluvial mining lease, a lease for mining purposes, and an mining easement. It prescribes forms in the First Schedule for such tenements, and forms for an extension of term of a tenements, for applications or surrender of tenements, for the description of boundaries, for an application for right to enter land and right to enter land, for the transfer of tenement, for a right to enter land under section 96(4), 97(2) or 165 of the Act, for a programme to accompany an application for an exploration licence under section 24 of the Act, for bi-annual exploration report on mining and bi-annual expenditure statement, for a notice of intention to negotiate on the mining of alluvial minerals, for a monthly report required by the holder of a mining lease under section 47 of the Act and it prescribes fees, and amounts for rents and securities in the Second Schedule.
