The Governor may appoint an officer to be Inspector of Mines or other officers from time to time and may make Regulations prescribing their powers and duties. The Governor may also issue prospecting licences in the form contained in the First Schedule. The Ordinance also provides for control of prospecting on private land and payment of repair of damages caused by such prospecting.
