The present Regulations enter into force on 16 July 2003.
Abstract

The present Regulations lay down comprehensives provisions relating to the mining technology and its safety. The Regulations shall apply to every mine in the Province. The text consists of 413 sections divided into 21 Parts as follows: Preliminary matters (I); General notice requirements (II); Plans and records (III); Supervision of workers (IV); General safety requirements (V); Design of mines (VI); Work practices and procedures (VII); Shaft-sinking operations (VIII); Shaft safety and shaft inspections (IX); Hoists and hoisting (X);Storage, transportation and use of explosives (XI); Lung-function tests (XII); Lighting in mines(XIII); Air quality and ventilation underground at a mine (XIV); Haulage (XV); Use of diesel engines underground (XVI); Fire prevention and control (XVII); Control of underground water (XVIII); Emergency response and Mine rescue re Underground at a mine (XIX); Abandoning workings (XX); Repeal and coming into force (XXI). One Appendix is enclosed.
