Subject Mineral resources Keyword Minerals International trade Institution Geographical area Africa, Eastern Africa, Landlocked Developing Nations Abstract This Act stipulates that the Minister, may, by Statutory Instrument and after consultation with the Minerals Marketing Board, declare that: (a) any manufactured or partly-manufactured thing derived from a substance or product referred to in paragraph (a) or (b) of the definition of “mineral” in shall be a mineral for the purposes of this Act. The Minerals Marketing Corporation of Zimbabwe is established as a body corporate (sect. 3). The operations of the Corporation shall, subject to this Act, be controlled by a board, to be known as the Minerals Marketing Board (sect. 4). The Corporation shall act as the sole marketing and selling agent for all minerals and carry out other functions listed in section 20. Sale or export of minerals otherwise than through Corporation is prohibited (sect. 41).
