Under section 2, all minerals existing or which may be found within, upon or under lands in the province are vested in the Crown. Sections 4 to 9 are dedicated to the administration of the Act, section 10 deals with the survey system, sections 11 to 16 are dedicated to documentation requirements. Sections 17 and 18 concern lands open for prospecting, sections 19 to 29 are dedicated to exploration licences and related procedures for application, granting and renewal.
