Abstract The present Act lays down provisions relating to the reorganization of the milk market and the integration of dairy farming. In particular, article 1 establishes that 1) in the interests of a sustainable strengthening of Liechtenstein’s dairy farming and to ensure the greatest possible self-sufficiency of the population with dairy products, the state promotes with the forward integration the development and expansion of the processing structures in the dairy industry; 2) the aim of forward integration is to achieve competitive milk processing structures in Liechtenstein and to secure the production capacities.
