For this purpose a farmer shall supply the Department with all the milk produced from the cows to the Department by (a) making it available for collection from the premises where it was produced or other premises where it is stored, or (b) delivering it to – (i) the States Dairy, or (ii) such other place as may from time to time be agreed in writing with the Department. The Department may enter into an agreement in writing with a farmer as to the terms and conditions of the supply of milk in accordance with this © States of Guernsey section provided that such terms and conditions are consistent with any provision under the Law. Milk may be retained by the farmer for specified purposes. Milk produced in Guernsey must generally be purchased from (a) the Department, or (b) a registered distributor. The Ordinance also concerns distribution of imported milk and hygiene tests.
