Abstract These Methodical Recommendations shall be applicable to radiation control and hygienic assessment of safety of the sources of potable water supply and potable water supplied through water supply system, in cisterns or bottled water except for mineral water. The Regulation establishes the modalities of organization, extent and periodicity of radiation control that shall be applicable to surface water and groundwater. Radiation control methods shall be certified. The grounds for carrying out arrangements for the reduction of radionuclides in potable water shall be effective radiation dose of the population due to the amount of natural and artificial radionuclides contained therein.
