Abstract Erythrodermatitis of carp is infectious disease characterized by formation of extensive necrotized lesions. Pathogen of the disease is Aeromonas salmonicida subsp.achromogenes. Erythrodermatitis strikes carp species beginning from the second year and in the period of nubilous age. Death rate among adult brood fishes can reach 45-90%. Outbreaks of erythrodermatitis happen in spring with the increase of water temperature up to 18-20C, in the presence of big quantity of organic substances in the water, especially in the presence of traumatized fishes.
