Abstract

Methodical Instructions are destined for veterinary and sanitary state of fishing water basins by method of determination of bio-chemical consumption of oxygen in five days which allows to establish water pollution by the amount of oxygen consumed in five days for aerobic bio-chemical decomposition of organic substances contained in water under study (20 Celsius, in mg/l o2). This method of analysis is especially important for the choice of water source for the construction of new fisheries establishments. The document consists of 4 Secs. Section 1 lays down general provisions. Section 2 regards selection of samples. Section 3 regards determination of bio-chemical consumption of oxygen in five days. Section 4 regards valuation of results.
