Production activities must comply with the requirements for the management, storage, trade, import and export of microorganisms. The Instruction also establishes the requirements for keeping animals used for laboratory testing as follows: cattle shall be kept in special facilities (immunization clinics), horses shall be kept in horseboxes, cattle shall be kept in livestock building on leashes and sheep and goats shall be kept in pens.
