Abstract

This Measure of the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR), prohibits the use of pelagic and bottom trawls having the mesh size in any part of a trawl less than 90 mm for any directed fishery for Champsocephalus gunnari. it shall also be prohibited to use any means or device which would obstruct or diminish the size of the meshes. The mesh size specified above is defined in accordance with the regulations on mesh size measurement, Conservation Measure 22-01 (1986). This conservation measure does not apply to fishing conducted for scientific research purposes.
