Abstract

These Regulations, made under sections 66 and 293 of the Merchant Shipping Act, implement provisions of that Act by, among other things: prescribing forms of certificates, declarations, documents and consents for purposes of the Act; defining procedures for declarations required to be made for the purposes of any of the provisions of Part II of the Act; by prescribing fees; and by providing with respect to waiver of sovereignty in respect of Bahamian ships. Part II of the Act concerns the registration, etc. of ships.
