The Regulations also concern, among other things, mortgages on ships, marking and status of a registration certificate under sea Fisheries legislation. Part II of the register shall be for fishing vessels. The registration of fishing vessels shall be of two kinds: full registration and simple registration of vessels to which the provisions of Schedule 1 to the Law relating to transfers by bill of sale and the registration of mortgages do not apply (simple registration). Changing of fishing vessels from full registration to simple registration shall be subject to conditions. The Regulations set out who is entitled to own a fishing vessel which is to be registered.
