These Regulations enter into force on 30 June 2011.
Abstract

These Regulations apply to Maltese ships wherever they may be and to other ships while they are in Malta provided they are: (a) ships of 400 gross tonnage and above, or (b) ships of less than 400 gross tonnage which are certified to carry more than 15 persons. All ships covered by these provisions must be equipped with a sewage system meeting the prescribed requirements. Regulation 5 concerns discharge of sewage into the sea. Regulation 12 concerns offences and related penalties.
