Abstract

These Regulations prescribe requirements for purposes of section 41(4)(a) of the Merchant Shipping (Oil Pollution) Act. These requirements, laid down in provisions of the Merchant Shipping (Oil Pollution) Act and the Merchant Shipping Act are those that the Minister deems appropriate to implement the provisions of Article 5(3) of the International Convention on the Establishment of an International Fund for Compensation for Oil Pollution Damage, 1992.
