The Act also concerns the prevention of collisions, safety at sea, the transport of dangerous goods, liability and compensation of oil pollution damage and matters concerning the International Oil Pollution Compensation Fund. A ship registered in the Virgin Islands under Part I of the Merchant Shipping Act 1894 of the United Kingdom shall be deemed to be a ship registered in the Virgin Islands under this Act.
