It sets a framework for the work of setting reduction targets, finding effective measures, identifying sources and developing indicators throughout the food chain. It also contains a provisory definition of food waste for the purposes of these actions. The Parties agree to prepare and sign a definite agreement on food waste by the summer of 2016.
