The Agency is a company in the sense of the Compenies Act. The Memorandum specifies in detail the objects of the Agency: implementation of a mandatory citrus certification scheme, provision of advice to citrus growers and nurseries, collection and dissemination information, promotion of public awareness, and protection of the integrity and standards of the citrus industry, particular in the areas of plant health and quality management. The Agency may import plant materials, inspect facilities, register nurseries, appoint inspectors, conduct tests, etc. Every member undertakes to contribute to the assets of the Agency.
