Abstract

The present Ordinance lays down provisions relating to fishing in coastal waters. Article 3 establishes that it is prohibited to catch fish as listed in this article; according to article 4 it is prohibited to catch fish not complying with the minimum size therein indicated; article 5 deals with closed season. Moreover, the text deals with the following matters: catch during closed season, repopulation measures, fishing gear and fishing methods, fishing within the 3 nautical miles limit, protected fishing areas, divisions of coastal waters in fishing districts, minimum mesh requirement, prohibited fishing gear and methods, industrial fishing, marking of fishing gear and vessels, fishing statistics and penalties. The text consists of 27 articles and 2 Annexes. (Article 26 is abolished).
