Abstract

These regulations concern the inspections to be carried out on animals of the bovine, ovine, caprine and swine species as well as on their carcases in order to ensure the safety of meat for human consumption. An inspector shall, on an ante mortem inspection of an animal, have the power to order the slaughter of the animal and to condemn its carcase, if he suspects that such animal suffers from any of the diseases or conditions specified in the schedule hereby attached. Regulation 13 regards the manner in which the slaughtering of animals shall be performed.
