Abstract

The objectives of these Regulations, done under the Meat Industry Act 1993, include to provide standards and procedures for the production of meat for human consumption and for pet food; to provide for the licensing of meat processing facilities and to provide for the licensing of meat transport vehicles. The Regulations are divided into the following parts: Preliminary; General requirements for all meat processing facilities; Specific requirements for general meat processing facilities; Specific requirements for pet food processing facilities; Meat transport vehicles; and Transitional.
