Entry into force notes
The present Law enters into force on 1 January 1997.
Abstract

The present Law implements the Federal Meat Hygiene Act in its version of 30 June 2003 (BGBl. I p. 1242, 1585). Article 1 names the Ministry of Women, Labour, Health and Social Affairs as responsible for the execution of legislation on meat hygiene. The text consists of 5 articles as follows: Competent authorities (1); Empowerment (2); Surveillance (3); Implementation of costs regulations under the Regulation (EC) No. 882/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council on official controls performed to ensure the verification of compliance with feed and food law, animal health and animal welfare rules (4); Final provisions (5).
