These Measures enter into force on 19 June 2001.
Abstract

The purpose of these Measures is to standardize management of organic food certification, promote the development of organic foods, prevent pesticides and chemical fertilizers from polluting the environment and protecting the ecological environment. Institutions which apply for an organic foods qualification certificate must submit an application form to the Organic Food Development Centre (OFDC) established by the State Environment Protection Administration.
