Abstract

These Measures aim to implement the Environmental Impact Assessment Law of the People's Republic of China in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The Text consists of 5 Chapters: General Provisions(I); Environment impact assessment on planning(II); Environment impact assessment of construction projects(III); Legal liabilities(IV); Supplementary provisions(V). Moreover, the Measures provide for the responsibilities of local governments at or above county(Qi) level: supervision and management of EIA activities; establishment and improvement of information sharing system of EIA; protection of the public's access to environmental information and promotion of the public’s participation in the environmental impact assessment activities.
