The Regulation consist of 60 articles divided into 7 Chapters: General provisions (I); Excavation of Fossils (II); Collection of Fossils (III); Entry and Exit of Fossils (IV); Circulation of Fossils (V); Legal Responsibilities (VI); Supplementary provisions (VII). The land and resources department of the State Council shall be responsible for the organization, guidance and coordination and supervision of fossils protection. National Fossil Expert Commission shall be responsible for providing professional guidance and consultation for the protection and management of fossil fossils. The Measures provide for the conditions, procedures and requirements to be satisfied for the application, examination and approval of fossil excavation, collection, circulation and entry and exit.
