Abstract

These Regulations, made by the Minister under section 63 of the Mauritius Cane Industry Authority Act 2011, require importer, miller or refiner producing sugar, other than sugar for refining to be registered with the Mauritius Cane Industry Authority if they want to sell sugar on the local market. The Authority may prescribe terms and conditions for registration under these Regulations and a fee per kilogramme of sugar sold on the local market shall be paid to the Authority.
