Abstract These Regulations, made by the Minister, on the advice of the Mauritius Agricultural Board, under section 27 of the Mauritius Agricultural Marketing Act, concerns the National Wholesale Market of vegetables, fruits and flowers; the Operations Committee; the standard procedures; supplier and transporter of articles. The Regulations cover the following matters: composition, duties and tasks of the Operations Committee, including: setting up the parameters and procedures to establish minimum prices for articles traded, giving directives, orders or making recommendations on any issue of general interest, preparing the standard operations procedures; definition of manner of conducting business for users in the National Wholesale Market; registration of persons who intend to have access to the National Wholesale Market; waste disposal; removing stale and untidy fruits and vegetables from the market; applicable fees.
