Abstract

The Act provides for the establishment of public market and slaughterhouses and provides rules for such public places. The Act consists of 26 sections divided into 8 Parts: Preliminary (I), Public markets (II); Sale of fresh meat (III); Slaughterhouses (IV); Cold stores (V); Licensing of butchers (VI); Regulation of sale of marketable commodities and other goods (VII); Miscellaneous (VIII).
