The Act further provides the manner in which the said license may be granted, renewed or cancelled and grants power to the State Government to search and seize any foreign vessels operating in the maritime zones of India to ascertain that they are complying with the provisions of this Act. Additionally, the Act provides for penalties for violating the provisions of the Act.
