Other provisions concern powers to prevent infringement of Samoa's customs, fiscal, immigration or sanitary laws and regulations of the Government in the contiguous zone and suspension of innocent passage. In section 27(d) of the Principal Act the words “the fishery” are replaced by “exclusive economic zone”. Regulation 27(d) allows the Head of State to make Regulations prescribing measures for the protection and preservation of the marine environment of the fishery waters.
