Abstract

The Act claims sovereignty of the Seychelles over its territorial waters (sect. 3). In sections 3(2), 5 and 6 "territorial waters", "continental shelf" and "exclusive economic zone" are defined. Section 7 deals with rights of the Seychelles over the Continental Shelf and the EEZ. The President may, by Order published in the Official Gazette, specify the limits of "historic waters" (sect. 18). The Act consists of 15 sections.
