They provide with respect to tonnage measurement and certificates, registration requirements and the marking of ships. They prescribe that in case of fishing ships engaged in fishing in Fiji's territorial waters, Economic Exclusive Zone and on the high seas, 70 percent of the total crew shall be Fiji nationals. The Regulations also specify documents, in part relating to pollution prevention measures, that ships registered in Fiji shall carry on board engaged in an international voyage.
