These Regulations prescribe the requirements that must be fulfilled in order to register ships in Fiji and which entitles the ship to fly the Fiji flag. They provide with respect to tonnage measurement and certificates, registration requirements and the marking of ships. They prescribe that in case of fishing ships engaged in fishing in Fiji's territorial waters, Economic Exclusive Zone and on the high seas, 70 percent of the total crew shall be Fiji nationals.
