The objectives of the Authority shall include the promotion of enactment of national legislation regarding discharge of the responsibilities of the Republic of Liberia under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of 1982 and other maritime-related international instruments. Functions shall include the administration of this Act and development, coordination and implementation of the National Maritime Strategy.
